The BUSLeague project participated in the international conference “Sustainable Places 2020” that this year was held online due to the restrictions derived from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Specifically, Jan Cromwijk from ISSO and coordinator of the BUSLeague project, participated in the workshop entitled “Sustainable Energy Skills in the Construction Sector”, which took place on October 28th. Sister projects were also invited to the discussion: INSTRUCT, BIMEET, HP4All, The Nzeb Roadshow, TRAIN4SUSTAIN.

Each project had the opportunity to present its goals, work plan, achievements and share the experience gained so far. Some of the projects have just started, other projects already had the possibility to implement first tasks and activities and therefore it was a very good opportunity to learn about different approaches and activities that will be performed in the coming months and years, one project – BIMEET – has already finished so the workshop was an opportunity to learn about good practices that have worked well and results that have been achieved. Initially, a decision was made to establish a closer collaboration between the projects on the basis of the following activities:

• ongoing communication between projects,

• organization of joint events, webinars, and workshops,

• information and dissemination support,

• regular meetings presenting the results of individual projects.

A publication summarizing the workshop is also planned and will be published in Open Access MDPI Proceedings.

If you are interested in learning more about the projects, all workshop’s presentations are available here.
