In the Hauts-de-France region (North of France), the construction industry is one of the top three sectors in terms of employment offer. However, and despite more than 6400 job vacancies, the number of skilled job seekers is largely insufficient.
The experimental project “Bâtis Ton Projet – BTP” (Build your project) and thanks to the mobile technical platform, aims to not only raise awareness among the public about the different trades of the construction sector, but also to evaluate and identify potential candidates.
The innovation of the BTP training sessions led by PRACTEE Formations, is to offer a practical-based experience that allows candidates to be exposed to a real-life situation, by bringing accessible tools that would help stimulate their interest in going further. On the other hand, companies can directly observe the candidate’s performance while being recruited based on an actual expertise.
The project is currently being implemented in Lille, Lens, Cambrai and Saint-Quentin where the workshops have been attended by 50 people in the last 3 days.
